mail packages being pulled in

'emerge -DuN world' wants to pull the following packages in since a few days ago:

acct-group/mail
acct-user/mail
acct-user/postmaster
net-mail/mailbase

I ran 'equery d' on each of them but there are no installed packages that depend on them. Why are they required all of a sudden?
