In wiki no words about generating fstab, and after all done, needed set password IN chroot because in begging it sayed about creating user, and setting password for root, But this not in chroot, and it will be dont need to change password, and creating user not in chroot. And no words about setting up hostname.
Devs of wiki please notice my message thank you. |

You don't generate fstab in Gentoo, you create it by hand (see https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Installation/System). You need to set a password for root before you reboot (inside the chroot) or you will not be able to login to the system. |

I do this all the time as it's way more pleasant to do an install from within my GUI terminal.
Also:- Here's where the Handbook advises setting the root password within the chroot.
- Here's where the Handbook describes setting the hostname.

The fstab can be created (it is not generated as said above, you fill in a template) inside the chroot. |
